PAL's Snack Foods, LLC d/b/a Hartville Potato Chips is creating a niche market in an industry dominated by large corporations. We produce potato chips the way they used to be made, small batch and kettle cooked with simple ingredients. The recipe is inspired by Ted Robb and his former company "OK Potato Chips", which many people still remember.
Out of our facility in Akron, Ohio, we are producing hot, fresh potato chips that can be found in over 250 stores throughout Ohio including Acme Fresh Market, Buehler's Fresh Foods, Giant Eagle, and more.

"Combining decades of tradition and new energy to provide our neighbors with a local potato chip that some have never forgotten and others will never forget"
The South Akron neighborhood holds a bit of magic in our family. Two generations ago, a small corner market named “Joe & Sons Poultry & Corner Grocery Market” located on South Street was a staple for the community. Stories of our Grandpa Joe, Grandma Rose, our dad, and his brothers and sister working in the store colored our youth. It was during this time that strong relationships with other local companies were built.
Over 60 years ago the families of Joe & Son’s Poultry & Corner Grocery Market, Klein’s Seafood, and DiFeo & Son's Poultry worked together to build unique businesses dedicated to quality. With these relationships still intact today, we are excited to be located in the space adjacent to Klein’s Seafood, this time selling Kettle Cooked Potato Chips with our cousin Ted Robb. We hope you will come see us and be a part of the potato chip making experience, similar to the way many might remember and in a neighborhood that means so much to us!
